MRTV: I am so glad we can continue this dialog about your product and the importance of safeguarding ourselves from sun damage. What are your basic rules for applying sunscreen?
SL, BGS: Liberally apply Black Girl Sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure and re-apply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating immediately after towel drying, at least every 2 hours. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use our SPF 30 sunscreen moisturizer and take other sun protection measures, including limiting time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
MRTV: How long can Black Girl Sunscreen be worn in water before reapplying?
SL, BGS: You should re-apply any sunscreen including BGS at least every 2 hours in or out of the water. Be sure to towel off after you get out of the water before re-applying.
MRTV: I think I can speak for all the ladies when I say, "We want to slay all day!" How can we wear Black Girl Sunscreen and makeup to the beach?

MRTV: Which celebrity to do you secretly wish would send you a pool party invite and why?
SL, BGS: I can’t limit this answer to one celeb.
Gabrielle Union - she is a skin guru and has aged gracefully. She openly admits that she wears sunscreen to prevent premature aging. Not only does she love to have fun but shes educated on skin care!
Lupita Nyong'o - because she is killing the game right now. She is representing for us dark skin ladies. She also openly speaks about wearing sunscreen, and how it preserves her melanin.
Lastly, Rihanna - because she is crushing it on many level. Singing, rapping, acting, modeling, and now the beauty industry. She will also bring the fun to the party!
