Meet Children's Book Author Quineka Ragsdale, CJK Publishing

A few years ago, I had the great pleasure of featuring author Quineka Ragsdale, owner of CJK Publishing, and her children's adventure books series, Demarcus Jones and the Solar Calendar. At that time, she had published three books from the series, having already introduced audiences of all ages to a curious young man as he travels throughout history, visiting places and experiencing events of historical relevance as they relate to the African Diaspora.

I was happy to finally interview her to discuss her journey as a self-published author and to discuss the Demarcus Jones series as it concludes with the 6th and final book. In our conversation available to view on YouTube, Quineka describes her love of history and who is her ideal reader, with advice for aspiring children's book authors.

Quineka's stories are a great introduction to the retelling of Black History and the significant contribution of Black People globally.
