Shop Kwanzaa apparel, kinara kits, decor, celebration guides, and educational resources

Kwanzaa is a time of celebration from December 26 to January 1. Each day during Kwanzaa, we reflect on the 7 Principles of Kwanzaa, Nguzo Saba:

  • Umoja (Unity)

  • Kujichagulia (Self-Determination)

  • Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility)

  • Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics)

  • Nia (Purpose)

  • Kuumba (Creativity)

  • Imani (Faith)

Central to Kwanzaa is the Kinara, a candle holder for the Mishumaa Saba (seven candles).

The muhindi are the ears of corn that represent the children, our offspring and legacy of parents of the house, or the stalk. The zawadi (hand-made gifts) represent the fruits of the labor of the parents and represent the rewards of the seeds sown by the children.

With the same energy we have given to Juneteenth, prepare for Kwanzaa by shopping with these Black-owned Businesses for apparel, kinara kits, decor, celebration guides, and educational resources.
